Venetian Tapestry
Description of works
Sharyn Seibert's beautiful handmade jewelery evokes memories of stained glass windows and Byzantine mosaics.
On her frequent travels to Italy and France she receives inspiration from the rich colours, textures and shimmering light of the sparking glass in Notre Dame Cathedral, the mosaics in St. Mark's Basilica in Venice, and the multi-coloured sparkle of the centuries-old mosaics in Ravenna Italy.
She combines these opulent colours and textures into exquisite botanical imagery such as blossoms, tiny leaves and intertwining flowers.
The mirror-like iridescent beads she uses reflect the subtle shades of any outfit, creating a dynamic fashion statement. Finished works can be purchased or commissioned for weddings, day wear or high couture.

Sunday morning thoughts
So, so, so, so ,so I am getting really excited about the prospect of taking people to Barga. Through the night I started to formulate a plan and have started to think about all the people who might be interested in this idea. Off course it feels like spring and I want to just pack my bags and get going right now!!!!. Not so fast though. Planning a trip like this is quite complicated as I've found out through organizing other ventures. But that experience stands me in good stead for the structure of this trip. I am able to offer all sorts of activities like hiking in the mountains, and musical events in addition to the art.
